These Freaks are Here to Party: Infectious Grooves in AUS
The recent announcement of Infectious Grooves' appearance at BluesFest sparked a frenzy across the internet last week! Adding more excitement to the mix, the funk-metal supergroup has revealed plans for headline shows in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Sydney. With an impressive lineup of talented musicians, Infectious Grooves is gearing up to deliver an electrifying performance, marking their first global shows in five years and their long-awaited return to Australia since Soundwave Festival in 2008.
Joining the lineup is none other than the founding bassist of Infectious Grooves, Robert Trujillo, who is making a highly anticipated return to Australia after a prolonged absence. Trujillo's previous visit was more than a decade ago when he performed with his fellow bandmates from one of the planet's most prominent bands—Metallica.
Adding some extra groove on guitar is Dave Kushner, you might know him from his time in the platinum-selling supergroup Velvet Revolver. Dave's also been part of the OG Infectious Grooves crew, laying it down on the track "Punk It Up" from the band's debut album.
Keeping the rhythm locked in is drummer Jay Weinberg, making a comeback to the live scene after a decade with the legendary metal band, Slipknot.
