As a teenager - like any metalhead/alternative person in the scene, I had a Dimebag poster above my bed until I was 18. Pantera riffs ran like blood in my veins, and I truly never envisioned the day I would see any iteration of the band in my lifetime. Waking up to the confirmed rumors I had heard fluttering about, was like a butterfly out of a cocoon moment for me. The lineup drop was akin to seeing Isis with my own eyes.
Knotfest Australia’s debut in 2023 was killer - ragingly successful and as a patron who attended, I can confirm it was a full day of nostalgic angst and present angst - with acts like Knocked Loose being a particular stand out. What I learnt last year: Prepare to be wet all day, just accept it + it’s okay to let the feral out. I did allow myself to get feral during sulfur, wait and bleed, duality….(I was rogue the entire time)
LEGENDARY acts Disturbed + Lamb of God are to headline alongside Pantera, with Halestorm, The Hu, SPEED, Escape the Fate and many more.
